After seeing “How to Train Your Dragon 2” it occurs to me that if you can fly, why wouldn’t you free fall through the clouds for the heck of it? Yet, somehow, this had never occurred to me before seeing Hiccup do it. Anyway, here’s this. It’s probably not at all how Vahaadi’s carpet works, but it’s a cute off-idea.
Inspired by this song:

Wow! I LOVE this! Vahaadi’s expressions look great! Man, now I kinda wish Vahaadi could whistle for his carpet to get him, that would be awesome. I guess I just don’t want his carpet to be like Aladdin’s carpet, though. Huh. I will have to explore this further! Spark is adorable, as usual!
I love that Vahaadi is sighing and rolling his eyes as he falls. He WOULD face something so death-defying with weariness, knowing nothing would even change if he dashed himself to pieces. It reminds me of that terrible Lady Gaga song, “Bad Romance.” “Russian Roulette is not the same without a gun.” Life without even the potential for death is meaningless.
BUT, that will change once he warms to Spark and his role as a hero (sidekick). Even though he can’t die, his care for her and her mortality will help him feel again!
UGH I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS MOVIE WITH YOU BUT I CAN’T @________@
But I’m glad you like the drawings! I have been drawing so much Guardians I felt like I was losing my Loose Canon edge, so it was long overdue that I post something like this.
Yeah, it’s fun to play with the development of their relationship, particularly because of the changes that Vahaadi goes through. Spark changes too, but it’s more subtle.
The lyrics of this song just make me so happy
“We slow for no one,
We go where no one goes”
“Let’s go, hurry up, all right”
“Awake in the sky, way so high away
Let’s make it around, let’s play with it
WE GO WHERE NO ONE GOES
We stop for no one, can’t have us
We ain’t slowing down, we ain’t coming over
We’re circling low
WE GO WHERE NO ONE GOES
We go where no one goes”
It’s so perfect for when they go adventuring together <3
