so I thought up a scene for Loose Canon when we are trying to show the transition between Vahaadi and Krissy/Spark from hostile to loving. I was listening to this song (http://youtu.be/uVY3sJYsg8g) (Don’t judge! I know it’s a song about her and J. Bieber XP) and it made me realize the entire emotion on this song is something Spark, in her childishness and wild ego, completely doesn’t understand. So, I had this little scenario roll around in my head. Let me know if you hate it, because it is really cheesy.
Spark and Vahaadi find themselves in a canon that is reminiscent enough to remind Vahaadi of his life with Tryvnah and he finds himself wistfully thinking of his old life for the hundredth time. Spark is stumped with what they should do next and she slumps down on a rooftop, chin in her hands to think. Vahaadi eases down beside her and gets lost in thought. I imagine that though the two of them aren’t particularly close yet, with Spark’s nosy nature and Vahaadi’s attempts to shock her Spark has gotten at least a general idea of who Tryvnah was and the kind of relationship that he and Vahaadi had. She doesn’t know how it ended or why, only that Vahaadi seems to be the one that got shafted and that he still misses Tryvnah, though he seems upset (either at himself, Tryvnah, or both) about the whole thing.
At a loss, Spark turns to Vahaadi to ask him what he thinks they should do next, but she stops herself. Shoulders drooping, she sighs, rolling her eyes. She can guess what he’s thinking about.
“Look, why can’t you just forget about him? Let the past be the past? I mean, if somebody dumped me you better believe I wouldn’t give them a second thought! Their loss, right? So why are you still missing someone who obviously didn’t understand how awesome you are? Why can’t you just let it go?” She asks, scooting over to sit next to him. Vahaadi turns his face away from her, though he doesn’t seem to mind that she’s come closer.
He pauses, slight confusion and angst in his voice. “I just… can’t. You don’t understand, Spark. You’ve never loved anyone that much.”
Spark is flabbergasted, stammering “Of course I have!”
Vahaadi slides only his eyes over to her. “Who? Who have you ever let close enough to you to even be able to hurt you? You don’t know how to love, Spark, that’s why you don’t have any friends.”
“I… I do so! I mean, I guess, well there’s Kyle, but if it came down to him being a jerk I probably wouldn’t lose sleep over never talking to him again…” She furrows her brow, muttering to herself and Vahaadi looks away, disinterested. He already knows he’s right. Spark stops grappling to save face and watches him, her eyes growing wide. Swallowing she begins playing with her hands in her lap, suddenly nervous. “I guess the only person I’ve ever loved that much so soon is you,” she says, casting him a hasty glance. “I mean, from the very beginning you were just so awesome and brave and smart and daring I just HAD to be best friends with you! …That’s not a feeling I have around other people.” Realizing for the first time placing her trust in Vahaadi was a risk, she asks him “Vahaadi? You would never hurt me, would you?”
Vahaadi pauses, his honest answer surprising even himself. “No, Spark, I wouldn’t.”
Relief shines in her eyes and she wraps her arm around his, scooting a little closer. “And you’re not going anywhere, right? Not like you can, but, let’s pretend that you could? Would you still rescue canons with me?”
Not as sure about this, he avoids her gaze for a minute, then caves to her twinkling smile. He nods, with a slight grimace. “I think I would.”
Spark grins. “I’ll take it!”

AWWWWW I LOVE IT!!!! Man, “that’s why you don’t have any friends” HARSH but so something he would say to her at this stage. I think you’re getting a good handle on writing him! n_n
yay! 😀 I am trying. You’re go great at giving me good insight into his thoughts, it helps a lot. AND I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO COUNTING STARS NONSTOP THANKS FOR ADDICTING ME. You’re getting a great handle on writing Krissy too! You always tell me she’s too wacky for you to write, but I think you do a great job!
OH MY GOSH NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT that’s why I’ve had young Vahaadi on the brain lately, that song! Gahhhh but it’s so good. All of the angst!
Haha writing Krissy is like writing for Pixar: think of the obvious thing she would do, and do the opposite.”
Or, at least: take the obvious thing and multiply it by like over 9000 levels of intensity.
I hadn’t heard that about Pixar! XD I just let her say what she wants, but the bottom line is usually “Is it something exciting, because I WANT IN. If it’s not, psh, forget you.”
