Vahaadi In His Prime
I did this on the Sketch Club app as part of a study of Vahaadi as he ages, since we were thinking the pieces of his soul are going to be associated with landmarks/turning points of his life. This is what he looks like at his oldest before becoming immortal and unaging (this look correlates with the soul piece they find in his lair). So basically, this is the way Spark knows him, and the way I usually try to draw him. He’s about 30.
Secrets Epilogue
Previously when trying to figure out how the RPishthing Secrets would end we discussed that Vahaadi could go back to Lunarious with Spark. That resulted in riduclous but endearing pictures like this.
But the problem with that is once Vahaadi has recovered, he’s starting to live a healthy, fulfilled lifestyle, then what? Eventually people leave rehab. Where do they go? How do they start again? Would Vahaadi live in Luanrious forever? Highly unlikely, as it’s not suited for djinn at all. Then what is left for him? To return to his world, only to miss even MORE friends and feel lonelier than ever? This is not a good set up for Vahaadi, no matter how much he learned while he was in Lunarious.
Dad’s late again.
Early on in our development of Loose Canon I was trying to get a handle on Krissy’s personality outside of being a Superhero. Up until that time she had always been just “Spark” to me. Now she needed an alter ego, a street self. While I’m not sure how likely a scene like this would play out today, given our development with Vahaadi as a character, it’s still cute and an important part of the Loose Canon process.
