A rough storyboard of how I envision Spark and Vahaadi’s first encounter going, and Spark’s transformation sequence. It definitely has a Magical Girl vibe to it, but this is the one and only time her transformation sequence will be this detailed. It’s pretty quick and will have more of a “shonen” transformation feel than a girly shoujo feel.
From henceforth, her transformations are a lot more abrupt, so the story won’t be interrupted by recycled transformation sequences. I might try doing an animatic to show you how I think her on-the-fly transformation could look.
I REALLY like this. And it’s nice because while it does have the Magical Girl vibe to it, it also has a sort of masculine quality to it, like when the Hulk transforms or something. The combo makes it so true to her tomboy essence!
I’m so glad you like it! Someday I’ll take a shot at animating it.
